Good Morning!
Did you know that November is National Novel Writing Month, (NaNoWriMo)? Do you have a novel inside you waiting to be born? Are you a novel doula? A story midwife? You could start now; visit the site; participation is free. Bring your kids along too; if you scroll down on the site you can read about the Young Writers Program.
Yesterday, November 1, was also National Authors Day. For me, every day is authors day so I didn’t do anything special other than . . . launch this website which connects readers with books.
Trivia Question
Who is the world’s bestselling author, according to the Guinness Book of World Records? Her books have sold over 4 billion copies worldwide and have been translated into 44 languages. Post your answer in the Comments section; I’ll post the correct answer tomorrow. (Since this is just for fun, please don’t Google for the correct answer.)
My guess is J.K. Rowling.
Hi Lindsay! This is a pretty solid guess – so solid that I double-checked the numbers; Ms. Rowling has sold over 500 million books – but there is at least one author who has sold more:
