Paranormal romances are easy to dive into. Enjoy this list.
I’ve already mentioned Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series, calling it a historical romance. Since the heroine is able to witness history first-hand through time travel, I’m also calling it a paranormal romance, although the historical aspect is more prevalent.
The Twilight saga (Stephanie Meyer) was a blockbuster series about a human in love with a vampire. It was marketed as a Young Adult series, but people of all ages ate it up. It’s hard to believe that the first book in the series was published fifteen years ago!
The Arcane Society novels by Jayne Ann Krentz, writing as herself, Amanda Quick, and Jayne Castle, are built within an ingenious framework involving a society that was founded in the 1600s. Read about the history of the Society on Ms. Krentz’ web site, and start the series if it appeals.
Romance queen Nora Roberts has several paranormal cycles in her greater, quite extensive, body of work. Start with her Circle Trilogy if you like.
